Why We Volunteer

Tristan Jones

"My dad told me once 'You never truly live a day in your life unless do something for someone who can never repay you.' We do that every day. I'm here to make a difference in someone's life, regardless of the cost to myself. We help people in their worst moments, and I can't imagine doing anything else."

 Ryan Stokes

"The reason I volunteer is because I have always wanted to help people during people’s  worst times and make it better for them. My dad was a career firefighter back in my hometown and I knew from a young age that I wanted to follow in his foot steps. The adrenaline rush that you get from doing this is second to none. One second you can be studying for a test you have the next day and then the next you could be responding to a fully involved structure fire. The amount of satisfaction that you get from being able to help strangers in there worst time is all worth the time and effort put into the countless hours of training."
